A leading force in the UK's jazz revival is saxophonist, composer and DJ Nubya Garcia. Back in 2019, the Londoner's performance at End of The Road Festival blew us away; it was a vibrant and stirring show. 'Pace' is Garcia's first release since her 2018 EP When We Are, co-produced by Kwes (Nérija, Bobby Womack, Solange) and Garcia. The new single, is bold from the onset, with virtuosic piano, spirited drumming and upright bass played with concentrated precision. When Garcia's sax arrives, it's immediately cooling and divine - like the cool sea on a summers day.
